Artist's Statement

Making a work of art has, all my life, been a very pleasurable experience whether it is in 2D or 3D, so making art for a living is like living a dream. Each new canvas, clay or plate that I work with, I aim to make better art than all that I had done before. My work is all encompassing, looking at African issues and at the role of women, taking pleasure in the everyday things in life like a sunset or a poppy in bloom. I work with feelings at both ends of the spectrum and my aspiration is to translate these feelings to the wider audience.
